What inspired you to join the EuroTrip 2025 support crew with 091RunCrw?
I’ve always admired the spirit and resilience of the running community, and when the opportunity came to be part of something as unique as EuroTrip 2025 with 091RunCrw, I did not think twice. I wanted to contribute behind the scenes and help make this intense journey smoother for the runners. Being a solid support system for the team felt just as meaningful as running itself.
How would you describe your role during the trip?
I was part of the logistics crew, primarily responsible for driving the support van, coordinating food and supplement breaks, preparing hydration at critical points and tracking where the active runner was in relation to the team’s route plan. My role required adaptability, fast decision-making and staying alert across long, unpredictable stretches.
What did a typical day look like for you during those four days on the road?
There was no such thing as “typical” day but generally, it started before dawn and ended late at night. I’d check in with the team’s plan, load up suppliers, scout rest points and stay in sync with the active runner’s location. We rotated meals, rest and support between vehicles and made sure the runners always had what they needed – whether that was electrolytes, dry clothes or just good energy.
What was the most rewarding part of being in the logistics crew?
Seeing how much of a difference our support made to the runners. Every time a teammate finished their segment and collapsed into the van with a smile (or a groan), knowing we helped them get through it – that was a powerful feeling. The gratitude and trust they showed us made all the long hours’ worth it.
What was the most challenging situation you had to handle, and how did you manage it?
One of the toughest moments was navigating through a detour when a road we planned was not designated for vehicles. We had to quickly reroute, notify the runner and the bicycle rider on the road and adapt the merging point. It was stressful, but we kept cool, relied on the live location sharing and made it work without disrupting the team’s rhythm.
Can you share a special or emotional moment that stood out to you during the journey?
The whole journey was full of emotions and special moments and reminded me how powerful encouragement can be, especially in a moment of weakness. But the moment we gathered in front of the finish line, and we went through it as a whole team was one of the most beautiful feelings in my life. We Did It!!!
What was it like to witness the runners push through each day, and how did it affect you?
It was humbling. Their mental and physical grit was something else. Watching them run through exhaustion, hills, various temperature made me reflect on my own limits and what people can do when they are truly committed. It motivated me to be better in my own life – more disciplined, more present.
How did you and the rest of the crew stay connected and function as a team?
Communication was everything. We had a shared group chat, synchronized stop times and split responsibilities clearly. But beyond logistics, we kept the energy light, cracked jokes, helped each other stay awake and reminded each other why we were doing this. That unity kept the wheels turning – literally and emotionally.
What did you learn about yourself from this experience?
That I can stay sharp, positive and focused even in chaotic, sleep-deprived conditions. I learned that support roles are not just about tasks – they are absolute presence, reliability and care. I also discovered how fulfilling is to be part of something bigger.
Would you do it again – and what advice would you give to future support crew members?
Absolutely. It is intense, messy, beautiful and unforgettable. My advice: plan well, stay flexible and always keep morale up. You’ll be the backbone of the team. If you stay strong, they will too. Oh, and, always pack more snacks than you think you will need!
